Shades of Midnight - Lara Adrian Another amazing book in Midnight Breed series by Lara Adrian. I sure am addicted to this series. I can't stop reading it. It's sad because I only have one book left which I'm going to read next because I can't wait another minute to begin.Shades of Midnight is another page-turner all right. I loved everything about the book. It's wonderful to see all the characters we like and the ones that are new. I've always wondered what I would think about Kade. I was convinced that I wasn't going to like his book very much because he wasn't part of the original group of warriors. Oh boy, I was so mistaken. I liked him all right. I liked Alexandra even better (it is my second name, it was easy to put me in her place :D). Well this book takes place in Alaska due to the previous events on Ashes of Midnight. Ever since I read that book I've been dying of curiosity to know more about the future of the Breed nation and about the Ancient. I somehow managed to resist the urge to forget about my readings at the time and I read Shades of Midnight just at the time I had planned .However at this time I'm going to bail my other readings not because they're not interesting but because I really want to know more about future events. I'm anxious, truly. I read Taken by Midnight synopsis - why, why, why?! - and I just can't take it anymore. I'm going to start reading it as soon as I finished typing my review. There are many things I want to see revealed. There some things I really want to know more about, like what happened to Jenna. I'm overly content to see that she will be Brock's mate.I'm sure I will enjoy very much their story. In sum this world, this parallel universe Lara Adrian has created is unique, bright and so attractive. It's beautiful and terrifying at the same time. I tend to find it beautiful more than terrifying though. Kade and Alex make a wonderful couple. She's the only Breedmate who has accepted the truth about her beloved with such enormous ease. Considering all the Breedmates that didn't knew nothing about the Breed until the appearance of the warriors in their lifes, Alexandra was the one who accepted all in the moment. I really liked that.About Kade's father, Kir, he astonished me. I was so happy to know that he was a great man. A wonderful one in fact. I really liked his parents. Steph, well, I feel sorry for him. He did what was right in the end, no matter what. That's what matters.
