3,5 stars I was really anxious to read Bastien's book because he's the sort of hero I like: troubled but irresistible. But unfortunately, I have to say that I'm a little disappointed with the way Dianne handled this character. First of all I think the romance between Bastien and Melanie needed more intensity. I was expecting something more explosive. Secondly I don't understand why the author decides to talk about Bastien's sister in the second instalment of the series and then puf, nothing. She's only mentioned in passing throughout the book despite the highlight she had in Marcus's book. Thirdly I think the author focused more in other characters of the series (e.g. Marcus and Ami, Seh, David, Zach) than in the male and female lead characters. This is not to say that I don't appreciate it, since I am very curious about all of them and I miss Marcus and Ami but I would have liked to get to know Sebastien and Melanie better.Nevertheless I am eager to read Richart's novella and Etienne's book.
