This book was slightly different from the previous ones. The focus was on the conflict between the Hand and the Mirror and the politics of this universe. Although I've enjoyed the book I think that the romance was a bit rushed. It was only in the last chapters that we have seen any development in Kaldar and Audrey's romance. Nevertheless, all the bickering between the two of them was very funny and I really enjoyed their love story. However I can say that I would've liked to see more of them. I am very curious about the last book in this series. I think I will like to get to know Richard, he's such an interesting character. I also think that this series has so much more to give, I am very sad to realise that it has already ended. Let's hope the last book will be as good as all the other ones. I love Ilona Andrews.
